President Donald Trump's latest financial disclosure revealed significant transactions in technology stocks. In July, his investment accounts sold sizable positions in Microsoft (MSFT) and Amazon (AMZN), while adding shares of Nvidia (NVDA). The filing shows that on July 20, the accounts sold $5 million to $25 million of Microsoft stock. Three days later, they purchased another $100,001 to $250,000 of Microsoft shares.
Amazon also saw heavy activity, with the accounts selling $5 million to $25 million of its stock on July 20 before buying between $1,001 and $15,000 on July 23. In contrast, Nvidia moved in the other direction, with the accounts purchasing between $500,001 and $1 million of its shares on July 20.
The trades were part of 1,156 securities transactions reported for July, with a combined value estimated at roughly $79 million to $270 million. The filing provides value ranges rather than exact amounts for individual transactions.
