Trump Flies to Ireland on Qatari-Donated Plane After Security Concerns

US President Donald Trump plans to visit Ireland on September 12 and 13 aboard a Boeing 747 gifted by Qatar. The aircraft will make its first international flight after Trump left the NATO summit in Turkey on another plane in July due to security concerns.

The Washington Post was the first to report the planned trip, which includes attending the Irish Open tournament at his golf club in Doonbeg. During the two-day visit, Trump is expected to meet with Irish President Catherine Connolly and Prime Minister Micheál Martin.

Trump's use of the Boeing 747 has raised questions about aircraft security concerns. In July, he unexpectedly left the NATO summit on another aircraft due to a potential threat amid the escalating conflict with Iran. The change sparked new questions about the security of the modified plane gifted by Qatar for presidential travel.
