Trump Slams Chevron CEO for Not Sufficiently Praising His Policies
US President Donald Trump has expressed his displeasure with Chevron's CEO Mike Wirth for not adequately praising Trump's policies during an interview on Fox Business.
Trump claimed that without his administration's efforts, the oil industry and the country would be 'DEAD', a statement that he made on his personal social media platform.
The President is apparently upset because Chevron stands to benefit financially from his actions in Venezuela, where he has allowed American companies to continue extracting oil despite international sanctions.
Trump also took issue with Wirth's failure to acknowledge the role of the Trump administration in deposing Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro, which led to Chevron being thrown out of the country.
