US President Donald Trump expressed disapproval towards oil majors ExxonMobil and Chevron, stating that they are 'making too much money' off high oil prices amid the ongoing US-Iran conflict.

Trump's comments came after both companies reported significant profits in their second quarter earnings. Chevron's earnings increased to $12 billion compared to $2.5 billion last year, while ExxonMobil's profits more than doubled to $14.5 billion from $7.1 billion in the same period.

The US President emphasized that he does not like 'too much money' being made by these companies based on a shortage caused by the conflict. He urged them to cut retail gasoline prices and return some of their profits to the public.
