Trump Unveils 1,100+ Trades in July, Including Big Tech Sales
President Donald Trump revealed over 1,100 trades made on his behalf in July, totaling between $79 million and $270 million. The transactions include sales of up to $25 million each in Microsoft and Amazon shares.
The largest transactions were on July 20, with Trump selling between $5 million and $25 million of both companies' stocks. Three days later, he reported buying between $100,001 and $250,000 of Microsoft and between $1,001 and $15,000 of Amazon.
The White House has defended the trades, stating that independent advisors manage Trump's portfolio without input from him or his family. However, some critics argue that Trump's frequent trading creates the appearance of conflicts of interest.
