Trump's June Trades: Over 1,000 Deals Worth $263M Spark Conflict Fears
President Donald Trump's investment activity has been scrutinized again due to a recent financial disclosure. The US Office of Government Ethics published a report detailing over 1,000 securities transactions made through Trump's investment accounts in June. These trades were worth between $78.1 million and $263.1 million.
The transactions involved some of America's biggest companies, including Berkshire Hathaway, Visa, Mastercard, Meta, and Home Depot. Trump bought and sold shares in these companies over a period of several weeks in June. For example, he sold between $5 million and $25 million worth of shares in a Vanguard Group exchange-traded fund on June 22.
The White House has dismissed concerns about potential conflicts of interest, stating that Trump's investments are independently managed. According to the White House, Trump does not direct individual investment decisions, but rather they are made by independent managers using computer-based model portfolios.
