TScan Therapeutics Hit by Amgen Partnership Termination
TScan Therapeutics announced on August 12, 2026, that Amgen had exercised its right to terminate their research collaboration and license agreement. The deal focused on using TScan's target discovery platform to identify T-cell antigens in Crohn’s disease patients. This termination becomes effective November 10, 2026.
The loss of potential success-based milestones of more than $500 million and future tiered royalties will have a significant impact on TScan's partnership-driven revenue model. Without these payments, the company may need to reassess its long-term collaboration economics for stakeholders.
TScan will use commercially reasonable efforts to wind down its activities under the current research plan and does not expect to receive additional milestone or royalty payments after termination. However, if Amgen or its partners exploit any product candidates derived from the collaboration, TScan may still be eligible for these payments.
