Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center (TTUHSC) and Texas Tech Physicians (TTP) have reached an agreement with UnitedHealthcare (UHC). The new deal will ensure no lapse in participation under the commercial and Medicare Advantage participation agreements, effective retroactively from April 1, 2026.

Patients covered by UHC can continue to receive care from TTP's providers at in-network benefit levels. If you have a scheduled appointment with TTP, no action is necessary, and your appointment should remain as planned.

TTP opened discussions with UHC in early 2025 for the Amarillo, Lubbock, and Permian Basin clinics. According to Martin Clay, TTP executive director, 'We know periods of uncertainty can be difficult, and we sincerely appreciate the trust our patients placed in us.'
