TUI Airways Unveils Ambitious Summer Schedule with Record-Breaking Capacity
TUI Airways has released its schedule for the 2027 summer season, which includes 84,000 flights and 17 million seats. This represents a 4.6% increase over the same period last year and marks the start of a new chapter for TUI Airlines.
The airline will operate from bases in the UK, Germany, Belgium, and the Netherlands, connecting to 11 brand-new destinations across Europe and Africa. The expansion adds around 640,000 additional seats to popular holiday markets in Spain, Greece, Italy, Slovenia, Tanzania, Cabo Verde, and Morocco.
According to Peter Glade, TUI's chief commercial officer, 'Summer 2027 marks the start of a new chapter for TUI Airline'. The airline will operate its Boeing 787 Dreamliner aircraft on long-haul routes from Düsseldorf to Curaçao twice a week, while short- and medium-haul connections will be added from Düsseldorf and Hannover to various destinations.
The airline's London Gatwick base will grow significantly, reaching 59 destinations, including new direct flights to Athens, Palermo, Santiago de Compostela, Seville, Valencia, Tangier, Djerba, and Mytilene. Amsterdam-Schiphol Airport will serve as the first operating base for TUI's new Boeing 737-10s, which are expected to join the fleet in the second quarter of 2027, subject to certification.
