Turkish Airlines Doubles Down on Boeing with 737 MAX Order
Boeing and Turkish Airlines have finalized an order for up to 150 Boeing 737 MAX jets. The agreement includes options for 50 additional aircraft, making it the airline's largest single-aisle order from Boeing.
The deal follows a record purchase of 787 Dreamliners by Turkish Airlines in 2025 and supports the carrier's expansion goals. With the new 737-8 jets, Turkish Airlines will be able to serve more passengers on high-demand domestic and international routes.
Turkish Airlines operates over 200 Boeing airplanes, including the 737 MAX, 787 Dreamliner, and 777 models. The airline's chairman of the board and executive committee, Prof Murat Seker, stated that the new aircraft will bring greater efficiency and flexibility to their operations.
Boeing Commercial Airplanes President Stephanie Pope said, 'This order reflects the trust and shared vision that have defined our long-standing partnership with Turkish Airlines.'
