Turkish Airlines Doubles Down on Boeing with 737 MAX Order

Turkish Airlines has finalized an order for up to 150 Boeing 737 MAX aircraft in its largest single-aisle deal, covering 100 firm orders and options for 50 additional jets. The agreement was announced on September 23, 2026, following discussions that began in 2025.

The new aircraft will be used for short- and medium-haul flights from Istanbul, with Boeing highlighting the benefits of increased efficiency and flexibility. Turkish Airlines currently operates over 200 Boeing aircraft and is a member of the Star Alliance.

Boeing's president and CEO, Stephanie Pope, said that the order reflects the trust and shared vision between Boeing and Turkish Airlines, citing their long-standing partnership as a key factor in the deal.
