Turkish Airlines Lands Huge Boeing Deal Amid Erdogan's US Visit
Turkish Airlines has finalized a massive deal to purchase 150 Boeing 737 MAX jets from the American aerospace giant. The order, which includes an option for 50 additional planes, was announced as Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan met with US leaders in New York.
The aircraft will be delivered between 2033 and 2037, with the initial batch of 100 planes forming a firm order.
Turkish Airlines is one of the world's largest carriers, operating a fleet of 514 jets and serving over 130 countries. The airline carried 92.6 million passengers in 2025 alone.
US President Donald Trump hailed the deal as 'a big day for Boeing and American manufacturing,' citing its potential to generate tens of billions of dollars in sales and support thousands of US jobs.
