Turkish Airlines Lands Massive Boeing Order Amid Expansion Goals
Turkish Airlines has finalized an order for up to 150 Boeing 737 MAX jets, marking the airline's largest single-aisle purchase. The agreement was announced today in the presence of Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan.
The order includes 100 firm orders for 737-8 aircraft and options for 50 more 737 MAX jets. This will allow Turkish Airlines to meet growing demand on high-demand domestic and international routes.
The new aircraft will be powered by the 737 MAX family, which reduces fuel use and emissions by 20% compared to its predecessors.
