Turkish Airlines Orders Up to 150 Boeing 737 MAX Jets
Turkish Airlines has finalized an order for up to 150 Boeing 737 MAX aircraft, making it the airline's largest single-aisle order. The agreement includes a firm order for 100 737-8s and options for 50 more jets.
The deal was signed in the presence of Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan and marks another significant step in Turkish Airlines' fleet expansion. The new aircraft will bring greater efficiency and flexibility to operations, supporting the airline's extensive network from its Istanbul hub.
Turkish Airlines operates a diverse fleet of over 200 Boeing aircraft, including the 737 MAX, 787 Dreamliner, 777, 737 Next-Generation, and 777 Freighter. The airline's chairman, Prof. Murat Şeker, noted that the agreement supports Türkiye's aviation ecosystem.
