Turkish Airlines Orders Up To 200 Boeing 737 MAX Jets

Boeing and Turkish Airlines have finalized an order for up to 150 Boeing 737 MAX jets. The deal is a significant boost to the aerospace giant's recovery from the COVID-19 pandemic, which saw global air travel severely impacted.

The agreement includes options for 50 additional aircraft, bringing the total potential number of planes ordered by Turkish Airlines to 200. This move is expected to help Boeing regain its footing in the market after a period of reduced sales and production.

Boeing's 737 MAX model has faced scrutiny following two fatal crashes in 2018 and 2019. However, the company has implemented various safety measures and upgrades since then, and the plane has received regulatory approvals to resume operations.
