Turkish Airlines has completed its longest nonstop flight in history, transporting Italian football club Juventus from Perth to Turin. The charter operation covered a distance of approximately 13,800 kilometers (8,575 miles) in 16 hours and 27 minutes.

The Boeing 777-300ER took off from Vancouver International Airport on September 3, 2022, after operating a positioning flight from Istanbul to Perth under the flight number TK3700. The special charter was arranged after Juventus concluded its pre-season tour of Australia.

Turkish Airlines plans to expand its nonstop long-haul network by deploying ultra-long-range aircraft from late 2027, enabling direct flights to destinations in Australia and South America.
