Turkmen Airlines Welcomes New Boeing 777-200LR Aircraft
Turkmen Airlines has taken delivery of its new Boeing 777-200LR aircraft after a flight from Tokyo. The aircraft, one of the largest in the world, is capable of carrying over 300 passengers and has a range of around 9,500 nautical miles.
The Boeing 777-200LR is equipped with state-of-the-art technology and features two General Electric GE90 engines that provide increased fuel efficiency. Turkmen Airlines plans to use this aircraft for long-haul flights to destinations in Europe and Asia.
The delivery of the new aircraft comes as Turkmenistan's aviation industry continues to grow, with the country aiming to increase its international air traffic by 10% annually. The Boeing 777-200LR is a significant addition to Turkmen Airlines' fleet and will play a key role in meeting the growing demand for air travel in the region.
