Turkmenistan Rolls Out Electronic Visa System for Travelers
Turkmenistan has rolled out its new electronic visa system, making it easier for travelers to visit the Central Asian country. The National Migration Service launched the system on October 1, 2026, and the online portal went live the following day.
The e-visa platform offers three separate categories: tourist (e-TU), business (e-BS) with a maximum stay of 30 days, and humanitarian (e-HM). Applicants must upload required documents, including a copy of their passport's biographical page and a recent colour photograph taken against a white background.
The system uses a valid email address to send notifications at each stage, from document verification updates to the final transmission of the approved electronic visa. The portal allows travelers to apply for a visa online, pay fees, and track the status of their application in real-time.
