Typhoon Lagoon Closes for Seasonal Refurbishment

Walt Disney World's Typhoon Lagoon Water Park has closed its gates for scheduled seasonal refurbishment, effective September 9. The closure marks the end of summer operations at the park, which ran side by side with Blizzard Beach Water Park as part of the Cool KIDS' SUMMER promotion from May 26 through September 8.

The promotional window offered Disney Resort hotel guests complimentary same-day admission to either water park on their check-in date. However, this perk is no longer available after September 9, and guests will need to pay for admission to Blizzard Beach Water Park going forward.

According to the pattern Walt Disney World Resort has followed in recent years, Typhoon Lagoon would likely reopen sometime in spring 2027, timed to coincide with Blizzard Beach's own seasonal closure for refurbishment.
