A $240 million plan to transform the former Procter & Gamble site in St. Bernard, Ohio into a manufacturing facility for medical and surgical gloves has been abandoned by U.S. Medical Glove Co.

The company had planned to build a facility at the 638,000-square-foot site, but scuttled the project after deciding not to move forward with it.

The property is owned and managed by CAI Investments LLC, a trust based in Las Vegas. The trust's attorney, Tom Breidenstein, told the St. Bernard Village Council on Aug. 27 that the company is now considering putting a small data center that would occupy about 15% of the site.
