Tania Monserrat Lugo, a Mexican content creator and tattoo artist, shared her experience of being denied a U.S. visa in under a minute.

Lugo, who has two million followers on TikTok and 180,000 each on Instagram and Facebook, applied for the family visa with her husband and son.

The interview was brief, with the consular officer barely asking any questions about their trip. Lugo recalled that the officer asked if they were applying for a family visa, if her husband was the child's biological father, what she did for a living, and how many followers she had on social media.

The officer told them their application was denied because they could not prove they did not intend to stay in the United States. Lugo observed that the same officer was quickly denying several applicants while approving others.
