UAE Cyber Security Council Teams Up with IBM for Digital Upskilling Initiative

The UAE Cyber Security Council has partnered with IBM to launch a skills development initiative that aims to strengthen the country's digital and cybersecurity talent pipeline.

The new initiative, announced at GISEC Global 2026, will expand access to IBM SkillsBuild, a free technology education program, to four new groups: high school students, university students, graduates, and government employees.

IBM SkillsBuild offers training modules on various topics including cybersecurity, data security, artificial intelligence, cloud computing, project management, and workplace skills. The curriculum spans over 1,000 courses.

The UAE Cyber Security Council is responsible for building a vibrant ecosystem for cyber security across the UAE, driving innovation and stimulating growth in cyber through collaboration with industry, academia, and international cyber diplomacy.
