UBS Sticks to Buy Rating on Home Depot Amid Macro Challenges
UBS has maintained its 'Buy' rating on Home Depot Inc. ( ticker symbol missing) with a price target of $420, despite the company's stock currently trading at $302.47 and down 25% over the past year.
The firm cited a discussion with Home Depot executives as part of their reasoning for maintaining the rating, during which they discussed the company's operating environment, strategic priorities, and long-term growth opportunities.
UBS noted that the macroeconomic backdrop remains challenging and continues to weigh on larger project demand, with 28 analysts having revised their earnings downwards for the upcoming period. However, Home Depot has maintained a dividend yield of 3.08% and raised its dividend for 16 consecutive years.
The firm believes the company is executing well against its multi-year strategy, which is driving market share gains and positioning it for outsized growth when the environment ultimately improves.
