UBS Sticks with Buy Rating as McDonald's Outlines Growth Strategy
UBS has reaffirmed its Buy rating on McDonald's stock with a price target of $320.00 following the company's Investor Day presentation. The firm highlighted McDonald's NEXT growth strategy, which aims to drive same-store sales and guest count growth despite flat industry traffic.
The strategy focuses on four key areas: menu, consumer, restaurant, and people, with an emphasis on improved restaurant productivity and profitability. McDonald's has provided select financial targets through 2030, including achieving low-to-mid 50% operating margins by that year.
UBS noted the company's focus on implementing strategic initiatives to improve U.S. sales performance and executing a restaurant remodel strategy to drive growth and franchisee profitability. The firm also pointed to McDonald's delivery of high-quality earnings power and cash flow generation, viewing the risk-reward as favorable with shares trading at approximately 17 times consensus 2027 earnings per share.
