UCF Knights Unveil Disney-Themed Helmet Sponsorship
College football teams have been embracing helmet sponsorships in recent years, and the University of Central Florida (UCF) Knights are no exception. The team has partnered with Walt Disney World to feature a decal on the back of their helmets, which is set to debut during their game against TCU on Saturday.
The deal makes sense given Orlando's strong connection to Disney, which has been a major part of the city's identity for decades. In fact, UCF celebrated its 2017 Peach Bowl win over Auburn with a parade through the Magic Kingdom, and it seems that the team is continuing this tradition in their sponsorship.
Disney is also sponsoring other teams, including the Anaheim Ducks, which highlights their interest in partnering with sports organizations. Meanwhile, fans of the UCF Knights will have something to cheer about regardless of the game's outcome, thanks to a new ticket option that offers unlimited hot dogs for part of the game.
