UK Government Agencies Award Large Tech Contracts in September
UK government agencies have awarded several large technology contracts in September 2026. HM Revenue & Customs (HMRC) has selected Salesforce UK for a new enterprise customer relationship management (CRM) contract with a maximum value of £2 billion.
The deal will provide a Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) platform covering customer and case management, interactions and messaging, AI, analytics, and reporting, alongside professional services to support implementation. The initial 10-year contract runs from September 2026, with options to extend it by up to five years.
Defra awarded Phoenix Software a £167.1 million Microsoft Enterprise Agreement in September. The three-year contract was awarded on 14 September and runs until September 2029.
