Uniper Embeds AI Across Operations with Celonis and Microsoft Partnership
German energy giant Uniper has embarked on a digital transformation programme to embed AI across its operations. The company is working closely with Celonis, a process intelligence firm worth over $13 billion, and Microsoft.
Celonis provides the data and context that gives AI the understanding it needs to drive business transformation. Microsoft supplies the horsepower through Copilot Studio for building AI agents and Power Automate for automating repetitive tasks.
Uniper first began working with Celonis five years ago and has since rolled out the platform across 27 separate processes. The company has seen significant gains in areas such as plant maintenance, recruitment, and energy trading.
The partnership has also led to the creation of an AI agent that helps hiring managers track open requisitions and flag overdue tasks. This technology is expected to streamline Uniper's recruitment process and provide valuable insights into its operations.
