Pixel Phones Get New Battery Monitoring Feature
Google has started rolling out a new feature that gives Pixel 10 and Pixel 11 users more insight into their phone's battery usage. This AI-driven feature, known as 'Battery usage summaries', provides a clear breakdown of how your phone is using its battery. It highlights power-hungry apps and shows if you've been using your phone more or less intensively than usual.
The feature can be found in the Battery section of the Settings menu and includes a summary of battery usage, including which apps are consuming the most power. This is separate from the September Android Drop, which included five new features. The 'Battery usage summaries' feature will be active by default on newer Pixel phones.
In addition to this new feature, Google has also made some changes to its Now Playing app interface and Favourites tab. The Now Playing app now surfaces track information from the bottom of the screen for easier one-handed access. The Favourites tab has received updates with added dates and times, making it look a little sharper.
