Unique Lighthouse Bird Feeder from The Home Depot

The North States lighthouse bird feeder from The Home Depot offers a unique alternative to traditional bird feeders. Priced at $18.15, this red and white feeder is designed to resemble a mini lighthouse, complete with a removable slate roof and glass windows around the top. It features small circular windows on the sides to monitor seed levels and a dark gray tray at the bottom for birds to perch and eat. The feeder can hold up to 8 pounds of birdseed and measures nearly 14.5 inches tall.

The lighthouse bird feeder comes with a squirrel-proof cable for hanging from a pole or tree, or it can be mounted using North State's 6-foot aluminum pole set. As of the latest update, the feeder has a high rating of 4.9 out of 5 stars.

Manufacturers recommend using black oil sunflower seed mix with this feeder, though other small seed mixes can also work. To prevent squirrels from accessing the seeds, spicy-coated squirrel-proof seeds are suggested. Customers have noted that the feeder becomes heavy when filled, requiring a strong support to hang it. Regular cleaning and monitoring of seed levels are advised to prevent mold and maintain the feeder's condition.
