UnitedHealth Group Sees Hedge Fund Buying Spree

Kelleher Financial Advisors increased its stake in shares of UnitedHealth Group Incorporated (NYSE:UNH) by 135.9% during the second quarter, according to a recent disclosure with the Securities & Exchange Commission.

The fund owned 5,495 shares of the healthcare conglomerate's stock after buying an additional 3,166 shares during the quarter, worth $2,284,000 at the end of the most recent quarter.

Other hedge funds also recently added to or reduced their stakes in the company. PBCay One RSC Ltd purchased a new position in UnitedHealth Group during the 1st quarter worth $14,343,000, while Vaughan David Investments LLC IL increased its stake by 2.7% during the fourth quarter.

UnitedHealth Group reported earnings of $6.38 per share for the quarter, topping the consensus estimate of $4.94 by $1.44, with revenue of $112.03 billion for the quarter compared to analysts' expectations of $110.81 billion.
