The University of Ghana has launched a pioneering Master's program in Healthcare Play Therapy, made possible through a strategic collaboration between World Child Cancer and Amgen.

The two-year MSc program aims to equip professionals with specialist knowledge and practical skills to support children's emotional, developmental, and psychological well-being in healthcare settings.

Students will learn how to use play therapy, integrate mental health support into clinical practice, and deliver child-centred psychological care.

The program has received official accreditation from the Ghana Tertiary Education Commission (GTEC), marking an important milestone for children's healthcare in Ghana and across Sub-Saharan Africa.
