Unlock Hidden Features on Your Google Pixel Smartphone

Google's Pixel smartphones have been making waves in the tech world since their release in 2016, offering a clean user interface and plenty of customization options. However, some features on these devices are not enabled by default, leaving users to discover them for themselves.

One such feature is the 'Smooth display' toggle, which enables a higher refresh rate on Pixel smartphones. This feature is particularly useful for gamers, as it can improve performance and provide a smoother experience. To enable this feature, go to Settings > Display & touch and look for the 'Other display controls' section.

Another useful feature is Now Playing, which automatically detects music playing around you and displays song details on your lock screen. This feature has been available since 2017 but was not enabled by default. To turn it on, go to Settings > Sound and vibration > Now Playing and check the 'Identify songs playing nearby' toggle.

The Pixel series also offers Automatic Call Screening, a feature that uses Google Assistant to handle incoming calls from unknown numbers. This feature is currently available in several countries, including the US, UK, Ireland, Canada, and Australia. To enable it, go to Settings > Spam and Call Screen > Call Screen and turn on the 'Automatically screen calls' option.

Additionally, Pixel devices have a private space feature that allows users to hide certain apps behind an extra layer of authentication. This feature can be accessed by going to Settings > Security & privacy > Private space and setting up a PIN or password specifically for your private space.
