Unlock the Fastest Route on Google Maps
Google Maps offers various routes to get to your destination, but you might be missing out on the fastest option. The app prioritizes fuel-efficient routes by default, which may not always be the quickest way to get there.
To see the fastest route, disable the 'Prefer fuel-efficient routes' toggle in Google Maps. This setting can be found under Navigation > Route options. Note that turning off this feature won't always speed up your journey, as Google Maps will suggest fuel-efficient routes by default when arrival times are similar.
It's also essential to check other settings that may result in longer routes. The 'Avoid highways,' 'Avoid tolls,' and 'Avoid ferries' toggles should be disabled if you want the fastest route. Disabling these features can help you save time on your journey.
