Unmarked Agents Arrest Day Laborers Outside Home Depot
A video shared by the Immigrant Protection Network claims that federal agents in an unmarked SUV arrested day laborers outside a Home Depot in Concord, California on Wednesday morning, September 24th. The network says it wants to connect with any families affected by the incident.
The Immigrant Protection Network released footage of the alleged arrest, which shows two men in plain clothes getting out of an unmarked vehicle and approaching day laborers. However, Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) and U.S. Customs and Border Protection tell KTVU that their agents were not involved in any sweep at the site.
The identity of the men in the video remains unknown, and it is unclear what agency they may have represented or why they arrested the day laborers. Immigrant rights activists are urging anyone with information about the incident to come forward and connect with affected families.
