Unmasking the Myths of Disney: A Cast Member's Insider Perspective
A former Disney cast member has shared some surprising facts about Walt Disney World that guests often get wrong. According to them, one of the biggest misconceptions is that everything at Disney comes with a price tag.
However, many free perks are available to guests staying at Disney hotels, including transportation to and from the theme parks and extra time in the parks before the general public.
The cast member also dispelled the urban legend that Walt Disney's head was frozen after his death. In reality, Walt's body was cremated and buried at Forest Lawn Memorial Park in Glendale, California.
Another common assumption is that rented strollers and wheelchairs can be taken anywhere within the parks without needing to return them to their original rental location. However, this is not true, and guests must return their rentals before visiting another park.
The cast member also clarified that Disney and Universal do not have a malicious relationship despite being competitors in the theme park industry. In fact, many Disney World cast members work for both resorts, and Imagineers from both companies often collaborate on projects.
