UOB's Contactless Cashback Boost Hits 2%

UOB Absolute Cashback cardholders have something to look forward to - an extra 0.3% cashback on contactless purchases until January 2027. This brings their total returns up to a generous 2%. The offer applies only to categories that already earn 1.7%, while excluded categories will still yield the standard 0.6% cashback.

No registration or minimum spend is required for this promotion, and rewards are credited monthly at the end of each month. Overseas contactless purchases do qualify, but cardholders should be aware that they'll incur a 3.25% foreign transaction fee.

It's worth noting that American Express acceptance remains limited compared to Visa and Mastercard networks, which may affect merchant usability abroad.
