The US Air Force has approved the sale of four KC-46 tankers to Qatar's Emiri Air Force in a $4.5 billion package.
The deal will add aerial refuelling capability to the Qatari military, providing them with enhanced airpower and logistics support.
Boeing Defense is the manufacturer behind the KC-46 tanker program, which has been plagued by delays and cost overruns in recent years.
