US Bank Fires 80 Indian Customer Service Employees in Five-Minute Call
A US bank allegedly fired 80 India-based customer service employees in a five-minute Google Meet call, according to an unverified Reddit post.
The post claimed that all 80 employees and their families were affected by the layoffs.
The employee who made the post said they had been asked to work from home due to 'operational reasons' until they received the meeting invitation at 9:30 p.m. on a shift that was supposed to end at 6:30 p.m.
The employees were told during the call that the entire Indian customer service team had been fired, with no severance package offered to those who had worked for less than a year.
