US Companies Sued Over Military Support to Israel Amid Lebanon Conflict
A federal lawsuit has been filed against Boeing, Lockheed Martin, and Caterpillar, alleging that they are violating the Leahy Law by providing military equipment and weapons to Israel's military in its conflict with Hezbollah in Lebanon.
The plaintiffs, including the Arab American Civil Rights League and several US citizens whose property was destroyed by the Israeli military, claim that the defendants knowingly or should have known that their equipment would be used in a manner involving an unreasonable risk of harm in Lebanon.
The Leahy Law prohibits the US government from providing foreign military units accused of committing human rights violations with aid and assistance. The lawsuit seeks to halt the transfer of technical, software, part, and maintenance support to Israel, among other relief.
