US Doubles EB-5 Visa Fees: What It Means for Indian Investors
US Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) has finalized new fee rules for the EB-5 Immigrant Investor Program, effective November 30, 2026. The revised fees will apply to applications, petitions, and requests postmarked on or after this date. This means Indian investors seeking a US Green Card through the EB-5 program will have to pay higher USCIS fees.
The new rules increase the fee for Form I-526E, used by regional-centre investors, from $3,675 to $7,850, representing a 114% hike. With the separate EB-5 Integrity Fund fee, the total payable for these two charges will rise from $4,675 to $8,950. For standalone investors, the Form I-526 fee will increase from $3,675 to $7,615, a 107% rise.
The revised fees are intended to cover the cost of administering the program and support measures such as application processing, background checks, compliance reviews, audits, and site visits. However, investors who have already filed their EB-5 petitions before November 30 will not be subject to these new fees. They will still need to pay the old fees even if their cases remain pending.
