The US equity market indices closed lower on Monday after their trading session, driven by investors' focus on rebounding crude oil prices and increasing inflation concerns.

Nasdaq 100 index ended 0.17% or 50 points lower at 29,995.38 points after the trading session on Monday, with heavyweight stocks like Tesla and Nvidia under pressure amid high government bond yields in the market.
