The US State Department has launched a dedicated portal to report visa fraud and misuse. The digital platform allows citizens and residents to flag suspected immigration and visa violations, enabling the government to gather intelligence on potential offences.
The portal accommodates various immigration categories, including business and tourist permits, employment visas, academic programmes, and family-sponsored or permanent residency routes. To facilitate comprehensive evaluations, informants are encouraged to supply exhaustive particulars about suspected individuals, such as names, Alien Registration Numbers, passport details, and social media profiles.
The mechanism also targets corporate bodies, academic institutions, legal practices, and associated entities. Submissions may be completed anonymously, but individuals opting to disclose their names and email addresses afford investigators a channel for subsequent communication.
