US Stocks Close Lower as Dow Jones Utilities, Technology Sectors Drag
US equities closed lower on Wednesday, dragged down by losses in the Dow Jones Utilities and Technology sectors.
The Dow Jones Industrial Average declined 0.68%, while the S&P 500 index lost 0.75% and the NASDAQ Composite fell 1.13%.
Salesforce Inc was the top gainer on the Dow Jones, rising 1.84% to $237.58, followed by Chevron Corp which added 1.53% to $205.51, and Boeing Co up 1.12% at $199.93.
The biggest losers were McDonald's Corporation, down 4.81% to $238.32, Home Depot Inc which fell 2.83% to $296.72, and Amazon.com Inc losing 2.24% to $249.27.
