US Stocks Plummet as Key Sectors Drag Down Shares
U.S. equities closed lower on Monday as losses in key sectors weighed down shares.
The Dow Jones Industrial Average declined by 0.67%, while the S&P 500 and NASDAQ Composite fell 0.77% and 0.92%, respectively.
Procter & Gamble Company led gains on the Dow, rising 1.91% to $149.03. Nike Inc followed closely, increasing 1.76% to $36.38.
NVIDIA Corporation was also among the top performers, up 1.68% at $228.86.
However, Boeing Co suffered significant losses, plummeting 6.91% to $184.39.
The S&P 500's top gainers included Palo Alto Networks Inc, which rose 4.63% to $392.09, and Teleflex Incorporated, up 4.35% at $127.38.
