US Stocks Plunge on Rising Oil Prices and Higher Bond Yields
The US stock market began September under pressure as rising crude oil prices and higher global bond yields renewed concerns about inflation and interest rates.
The Dow Jones Industrial Average fell 301 points or 0.6%, while the S&P 500 declined 0.7% and the Nasdaq Composite dropped 1.1% on Tuesday.
Technology stocks were particularly affected, with Nvidia, AMD, and Micron each falling around 2%, while Microsoft and Alphabet also declined by more than 1%.
