US Stocks Slip as Key Sectors Weigh on Major Indices
US stocks closed lower on Tuesday, dragged down by losses in key sectors.
The Dow Jones Industrial Average fell 0.25%, while the S&P 500 lost 0.16% and the NASDAQ Composite dropped 0.09%.
The top performers among the major indices were Boeing Co., up 1.78% to $187.68, Amgen Inc., which added 1.31% to end at $423.62, and Caterpillar Inc., rising 0.82% to $826.64 in late trade.
The biggest losers included Apple Inc., down 2.66% to $329.40, Walmart Inc., declining 1.78% to $106.80, and Johnson & Johnson, which fell 1.61% to $267.57.
