US stock markets kicked off Monday on a positive note as investors welcomed signs of easing tensions in the Middle East, which led to lower crude prices.

The Dow Jones Industrial Average saw a significant increase, rising by 274 points or 0.52% to reach 52,759.06 at the opening bell. The S&P 500 followed suit, increasing by 15.1 points or 0.2% to 7,504.78, while the Nasdaq Composite gained 78.8 points or 0.31% to 25,452.66.

Amazon.com also made a notable move, rising 3.8% and surpassing the $3 trillion mark in market value for the first time, reaching an impressive RM12.25 trillion.
