The S&P 500 also saw gains, with ON Semiconductor Corporation, Microchip Technology Inc, and Generac Holdings Inc rising 5.54%, 5.36%, and 5.09% respectively. However, some stocks fell to new lows, including Charter Communications Inc, which dropped 3.95% to $112.91, and Solowin Holdings Ltd, which plummeted 84.62% to $0.20.
The NASDAQ Composite also saw gains, with Republic Power Group Ltd rising an astonishing 1,313.04% to $13.00. However, the implied volatility of S&P 500 options fell 5.11%, and oil prices declined, with West Texas Intermediate crude for November delivery dropping 1.93% to $92.78 per barrel.
The EUR/USD currency pair remained unchanged at 1.14, while the USD/JPY fell 0.99% to 157.27.
Overall, the market saw a net gain of 283 shares, with 1485 rising and 1202 falling.
