Utah Sculpture Project Stalled Amid Resident Concerns, Coca-Cola Faces Backlash Over Can Design Glitch

A sculptor's ambitious project to build the Grand Liberty Arch near the Utah capitol has hit a roadblock. Artist Sabin Howard announced that he will no longer be building the sculpture at its planned location due to concerns from local residents.

The proposed site was meant to be completed by 2034, in time for the Salt Lake Olympics, but residents expressed worries about potential traffic congestion and loss of quiet space. Howard stated that the chosen site is 'not the right home for a project of this scale' and will now leave Utah to find a new location.

Meanwhile, Coca-Cola faced backlash after a customization software tool glitch blocked Christian phrases on can designs. Republican Senator Mike Lee criticized the company, stating that the issue seemed to target religious people and conservatives. A spokesperson acknowledged the problem and put the feature on hold while they investigate.
