$V Shares Attract Significant Hedge Fund Interest Amid Visa Expansion Plans
Visa Inc.'s $V shares have seen significant investment activity from various hedge funds. Flputnam Investment Management Co. has boosted its holdings in Visa by 16.9% during the second quarter, acquiring an additional 48,248 shares worth approximately $114 million.
This acquisition accounts for about 1.4% of Flputnam's investment portfolio, making it their 14th largest holding. Other hedge funds have also made notable changes to their Visa holdings, with Cresta Advisors Ltd., Parvin Asset Management LLC, and Philadelphia Investment Partners LLC acquiring new stakes in the company.
Visa has been a popular choice among institutional investors, with around 82% of its stock owned by these entities. The company's recent partnership with Dunamu, the operator of South Korean cryptocurrency exchange Upbit, is aimed at developing stablecoin payments and AI-powered commerce. This move could help Visa build digital-asset payment infrastructure across Asia.
